Hi there.

If you’re reading this, then I clearly haven’t posted enough interesting content to keep you mildly entertained.  Or, maybe I’ve been interesting enough that you want to get to know me better.  Either way, I appreciate your interest!

I’m a musician who works with computers to pay the bills.  I used to stress out a lot, and I try not to do that any more.  I’ve got a wonderful girlfriend who makes me feel lucky every day and I live in a beautiful, albeit expensive, West Coast city in Canada.

Although I’d love to provide witty insight and useful information on this site, it’s really just a place for me to get my thoughts down and reflect on the world around me.  Lately, that seems to mostly focus on my day job, which I’m not very happy at.  If I could pay my rent and eat by playing music, I would be the happiest boy you know.  Lately, my aspirations have been leaning towards a sound engineering degree with the hope of a job in the video game industry.

Yes, I like video games too.  I was raised on science fiction.  In fact, my earliest memory is watching the original Star Wars: A New Hope from the roof of my parents’ car at a drive-in theatre during the late seventies.  That moment shaped my imagination and helped mold me into the fine fungus you know today.

But don’t think I’m just a slothy gamer with no drive and size XXXL tshirts with dragons on them.  I’ve been known to get outside and play some frisbee golf with my friends, or partake in the fine Canadian tradition of road hockey.

Music is the thing that drives me in life.  It’s my religion and my therapy.  It soothes my mind and fuels my desires.  Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have the gift I have been given:  the opportunity to play on stage and interact with people’s emotions on a higher level.  It’s a pretty great feeling when you fill up a dance floor and keep them there because of what you do with your four limbs.

Anyways, I hope you know a bit more where I’m coming from.  I’m writing this from a 8′ x 8′ concrete room filled with computers, air conditioners and about 40 noisy fans, so it’s possible the words aren’t coming out quite the way I want them to.

Cheers!
